The New CDPoker Tour Due to popular demand CDPoker is introducing a new structure for the CDPoker Tour, with over $15,000 in Guaranteed Prizes each month.The new format is designed to create a challenging environment for the competitive poker player; in addition to giving new players a chance to test the water. Here is a simple explanation of the new format:
6 x $300 GP Daily Qualifiers: Tournaments are held twice a day every Mon, Wed and Fri, buy-in $3+$0.3. These are ranked events with the top 20 of each tournament going through to the $1,000 weekly and $2,000 monthly tournaments.
2 x $200 New Player Freerolls: These non-ranked freerolls will be held Tuesdays at 3PM and Thursdays at 8PM with the top 20 qualifying for the $1,000 weekly and $2,000 monthly tournaments. Players eligible for the new players freerolls are those in their first month after making a first deposit.
1 x $200 CDPoints Freeroll: Enter into this non-ranked freeroll every Thursday at 10PM with 200 CDPoints each week. Be one of the top 20 and qualify for the $1,000 weekly and $2,000 monthly tournaments.

How did you get started in Poker?
I got started 3 years ago in my friend's basement playing
various games such as Omaha, Pai Gow, Texas Holdem, and 5
card stud. Eventually my skills developed and I began playing
underground games around Toronto.
What is your most memorable hand of this event?
My most memorable hand in this event was my final hand
(pocket 9's, because it was the perfect ending to a long tournament.

Why are you playing at CDPoker?
I play CDPoker because I feel it is one of the most legit
online poker rooms out there, as well as they provide you
with numerous games, and I really like the 10/20 NL Hold'em
6-Seat Tables…it is hard to find those online.
What makes you a good poker player?
What makes me a good poker player…is I do not let
a bad beat take the best of me. If you can keep your cool
after a bad beat…you will be a successful poker player..

What would you recommend to those of us who want to improve
their game and become professional?
To improve your game you need practice…I did not
get good by playing a weekly game, I say I play about 40 hours
a week. Also to become professional you can't let the game
get the best of you…poker is a grind…sometimes your
up sometimes your down…you can consider yourself a pro
if you can support yourself financially for a year. My final
tip for a budding professional…is only play what you
can afford.

What do you think about winning a prize?
What I think about winning a real prize like a television
along with cash is I think it's great. It is an added bonus
for your success. I am stoked.

"When you flopped a nice hand and you're almost sure its winning hand like 3 of a kind or straight, don't allow your opponents to see next the cards by raising half the pot. It can be very dangerous when no one raised before the flop, so you don't know who has strong hand.If somebody raises before you than you should definitely re-raise him, and if he had only top pair he will probably fold thinking you had better kicker or much better hand. By allowing many opponents to see the turn and river you are risking too much. It is better to raise hoping to go heads up with one player who will probably fold or play to end of the turn, and who only has a had small chance to hit better hand than you." -- Rez
